Last summer, Michela and Marco had a special engagement session in Fiesole, a charming small town on the outskirts of the city of Florence, in the beautiful countryside of Tuscany. They decided to have their photos taken at the same place where they went on their first date, a spot with a stunning terrace overlooking the city.

At first, they were a bit nervous about being in front of the camera. But as the session went on—and as I talked their ears off as I typically do—they relaxed and started having a great time. They laughed, chatted, and reminisced about their time together while enjoying the beautiful sunset. They talked about their upcoming wedding at the stunning Tenuta Corbinaia in July 2025 and you could see their eyes shine with excitement!

This was a particularly special session for me as Michela and I have been friends since we were about thirteen years old. We have cheered for each other through all the ups and downs of life and it is an absolute honor to not only see the magical, soft, kind, romantic love Michela and Marco have, but also to be a part of their love story by freezing this phase of their life for years and generations to come.

The photos are timeless and romantic, capturing the honest and candid moments between the couple. The natural setting of Fiesole added an extra touch of magic to the session, making it even more spectacular.

These engagement photos are like a poem coming to life; the lush greens of Tuscany, the warm orange of a late summer sunset, and the spark between Michela and Marco all came together to create something that will outlive us all… the promise of true love.

As their photographer, and friend, I focused on their interactions knowing that I wanted to capture the essence of Michela and Marco’s relationship in a simple and intimate way. I often took a step back and observed how they naturally interacted in-between prompts or when I was “checking my settings”
(wink wink).

I think the end result speaks for itself! I can’t wait to be back in Italy for their wedding. This is certainly one I would not miss for the world!
